Our new backyard...

For those of you that have been to our house, you know that we "inherited" an above ground swimming pool when we bought this house. I LOVED it for the first couple of summers. I lounged in the pool on my raft, reading my book, trying to get tan. Well, once Maggie came along, we decided that since the pool was taking up our entire yard it really needed to go. Last summer was kind of a blur seeing as we were just trying to get through each new day with a small baby. So, we did not open the pool and made a small attempt to sell it. No dice...

Well, about a month ago, I posted our pool on Craigslist and had quite a few inquiries. Only one person followed through and came to look at it, and he ended up buying it AND hauling it away. It was a glorious day seeing that pool come down and seeing my yard. I'm happy for Maggie that she will now have a backyard to play in...well, once we get rid of the sand, bring in some dirt and grow some grass, but those are minor details!! Any of you readers out there that have a green thumb, we welcome help at any time trying to get our yard back into shape!
