Norah's Story

So I thought I would post one more time before we leave for vacation on Saturday. You can bet that there will be TONS of pictures of Maggie on the beach when we get back. We are heading to Gulf Shores with Andrew and Kim. Pray that the weather holds up and that we hold up on our 12 hour drive with a 7 month old (12 hours without children, so it could turn into at 15 hour drive). Greg has been working late this week to get ready to be gone, so I've essentially been a single parent--not loving it! Today he has to speak at his firm's seminar and then schmoozing with clients after that. I'm just trying to get us all ready for our trip. We had to buy a car top carrier so that we can fit all the stuff you need for a baby on a trip like this! Our car will be filled to the brim...

This has been a pretty uneventful week in the Cook household other than what I just wrote. Maggie has been getting kind of clingy to me in the past couple of days. She screamed bloody murder last night while I was teaching a piano lesson. My friend Kyle kept her while I taught his son, and he had her outside and I could hear her all the way in the house. As soon as he handed her back to me, she was fine. And so it begins! She didn't nap well yesterday at all. I started Community Bible Study and she went in the nursery. She is just so busy that I don't anticipate her napping when there are 6 other babies in the room. Wednesdays will just be that way!

Other than that, life as a stay at home mom is awesome! I feel so blessed that I am able to do it. It is 9:45, and I'm still in my pj's with my cup of coffee!!! (To my credit, I've already unloaded the dishwasher and done a couple loads of laundry). See you all in a week!

Who needs toys when you have daddy's shoes??
